Roberta Metsola Returns To Ukraine To Be With ‘Brave People Who Inspired The World’
President of European Parliament Roberta Metsola has returned to war-torn Ukraine to show her continued support for the country in the face of Russian aggression.
“Good to be back in Ukraine. With those brave people who inspired the world. With those heroes who refuse to give in. With those who sacrificed everything for our values. With Europeans whose home is in our European Union,” Metsola said.
The visit is her second to the nation after being the first leader of an EU institution to visit Kyiv since the war started just over a year ago. This visit takes place less than a month after President Metsola welcomed President Zelenskyy at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Good to be back in Ukraine.
With those brave people who inspired the world.
With those heroes who refuse to give in.
With those who sacrificed everything for our values.

Emphasising that Ukrainians are Europeans and that the country’s future is to be “a member of the European Union”, she reiterated that “we will walk all the way with you”.
She also shared a touching image alongside Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Ukraine’s future is as a member of the European Union.
We will walk all the way with you.
Great seeing my friend @r_stefanchuk again.
Cooperation between @Europarl_EN & @ua_parliament will only grow stronger.
