Rosianne Returns: PL Set To Welcome Cutajar Back To Parliamentary Group
Rosianne Cutajar is set to be reintegrated into the PL’s parliamentary group just over a year after she was expelled from it.
MaltaToday reported that PL MPs agreed to reintegrate Cutajar into their fold and that the decision will be formalised at an extraordinary general conference this evening.
In recent days, former OPM person of trust Neville Gafa urged the PL to bring Cutajar back into its parliamentary group.
Cutajar was forced to resign from the PL parliamentary group last year after Mark Camilleri published her WhatsApp history with murder suspect Yorgen Fenech. However, she refused to give up her seat and stayed on as an independent MP.
In those chats, Cutajar had told Fenech that “everyone is pigging out” when talking about her former ITS consultancy position that the National Audit Office warned was likely a phantom job.
Cutajar sued Camilleri for libel but dropped the case.
Last March, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that while Cutajar deserved a second chance, she first had to issue a “genuine apology”.
Do you think Cutajar should be welcomed back to PL’s parliamentary group?
