Rota Calls For Driver’s Licenses Obtained Through Racket To Be Revoked

Rota is calling for all licenses obtained “illicitly” through the driver’s license racket to be revoked.
“It has come to our attention that a significant number of individuals may have been illicitly assisted in passing their driving tests. We firmly assert that such activities undermine the very core of road safety and ethical driving practices.”
Like many, Rota condemned the racket for various reasons; one main one being the danger it poses to Malta as a whole.
“The existing challenges of inadequate infrastructure for vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists, are already a grave concern. Adding drivers to our roads who have obtained their licenses unlawfully and without the necessary competences poses an imminent and substantial danger.”
“The consequences of placing unqualified drivers behind the wheel of speeding vehicles on public roads are nothing short of a catastrophe waiting to happen.”
The organisation went on to ask a question to all officials involved in the corrupt scheme.
“What if the individuals you aided in passing their driving tests unlawfully were to cause an accident involving your own loved ones—your mother, father, daughter, or son? The potential for tragic and fatal accidents resulting from such actions is a horrifying reality that cannot be ignored.”
So, in light of these “grave concerns”, Rota is urging authorities to revoke the licenses obtained through “illicit means.”
“We call for a thorough and impartial investigation into the alleged corruption behind this driving license racket. Those responsible for compromising road safety must be held accountable for their actions.”
Do you think that the licenses obtained through the racket should be revoked?
