It is a busy Saturday at the Office of the Prime Minister, as rumours swirl that a Cabinet reshuffle is well underway.

Several senior officials have informed Lovin Malta that Prime Minister Robert Abela is meeting Labour MPs on a one-to-one basis to inform them of a reshuffling of ministerial positions that could emerge very soon, less than two years since the last general election.

The move comes as Labour’s support stagnates in the public polls and Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne’s nomination as Malta’s EU Commissioner after June’s European Parliament elections.
