Scammers Targeting eID Account Holders By Pretending To Be Identity Malta Officers
Scammers pretending to be officials are calling eID account holders and requesting personal details, Identity Malta has confirmed.
Account holders are receiving phone calls from unknown callers identifying themselves as Identity Malta officers. They’re requesting account holders for their eID login and other personal information while falsely alleging that the account has been accessed.
Identity Malta Agency informed that its agents do not call eID account holders and request their personal details or other login information.
If you receive any similar calls or emails be sure to ignore them as they can be fraudulent.
