School Bus Drivers In Malta Charged With Having Sex With Minor

Two school bus drivers have been charged with having sex with a 15-year-old girl they allegedly drove to school.
Indian nationals Nidhin Eldhose, 32, and Sarath Babu Kongadan, 28, have denied the charges of having sex with an underage person, defilement of the minor as well as producing and possessing child pornography and misusing telecommunications technology.
Malta Today reported how the court heard how the pair had first made friends with the girl through social media.
The sexual activity was only discovered when the girl visited the hospital. Her parents then filed a police report.
Bail has so far been refused, given that the girl is yet to testify in proceedings.
Magistrate Neville Camilleri is presiding over the case.
