Serious Crash Between Taxi And Car In Luqa Leaves Four People Hospitalised

Four people were hospitalised following a head-on collision between a taxi and a personal car in Luqa last night.

Police said the incident took place at around 6pm in the main road of Vjal l-Avjazzjoni and involved a Renault Captur and a Mercedes C300.

A 29-year-old man from Fgura was driving the Mercedes taxi and was carrying a passenger, a 31-year-old woman from Santa Venera. The Renault was being driven by a 40-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay and was carrying two passengers – a 47-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman from Safi.

CPD officials and medics were called on-site, and four of the five people involved in the accident were taken to hospital, where the 46-year-old woman was confirmed to have suffered serious injuries.
