Seven Arrested In Two Overnight Drug Raids In Tal-Qroqq And Ħamrun

Police have made seven drug-related arrests in two separate raids in Tal-Qroqq and Ħamrun overnight.
The first operation took place in the Tal-Qroqq area after police learned that drugs were being trafficked in the area. While there, they tailed a suspicious vehicle in Triq Maria Teresa Spinelli.
Police later surrounded the vehicle and arrested a 53-year-old man in possession of several sachets of cocaine.
In a second operation, police stormed an apartment at Triq Manuel Magri, Ħamrun arresting six others. Three men and three women all between 20 and 53 years of age.
On site, police found a considerable amount of cocaine and another unnamed substance, packaged in sachets and ready to be sold off.
Police also confiscated an unidentified amount of cash from the two sites.
Two persons tied to the case will be appearing in court today at 1pm while police investigations are still underway.
