Seven Long Maltese Weekends Await You In 2023: Start Planning Your Weekend Breaks Today
We all love having an extra day off after our long weeks hard at work – and thanks to Malta’s incredible history and culture, the coming year will see plenty of public holidays which fall on either Mondays or Fridays.
Too many public holidays were lost to the weekend in 2022, including one of the biggest – Christmas Day.
This, however, means that 2023 is going to have plenty of God-given long weekends.
2023 will see seven long weekends AND five weekday public holidays!
Here’s a list of all the Public Holiday’s next year… and on what day each one is landing:
Only two public holidays fall on weekends in 2023, one of them being the first day of the year – New Year’s Day – and the other one being San Ġużepp on 19th March.

Some may also choose to use the extra day as a time to relax and enjoy your family, or maybe catch up on work – no matter how you decide to spend the public holiday we can all agree that two-day long weekend never seem like enough time to catch up.
