Four men, two Maltese nationals and two foreign nationals, have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that took place tonight in Triq id-Dejqa, Bormla.

Police confirmed that they were informed of the incident at around 9pm, that no one was injured, and that they’ve seized the gun, as well as a knife that one of the suspects had on his person.

Initial investigations indicate that an argument broke out among the four men and that one of them fired a gun into the ground.

A magisterial inquiry has been opened into the case.
