A Maltese nun that has spent three quarters of a century living in a monastery has passed away at the age of 95.

Sister Francesca lived in St Peter’s Monastery in Mdina and dedicated her entire life to God and the church, having entered as a young adult. She is being remembered for her ability to listen and be there for others.

She is the last of three sisters living at the monastery.

“I am proud to have worked and lived in Mdina with the sister. She always heard me and we were there for each other. I will miss you sister. I love you so much and I will never forget you,” said one person who knew her.
