Sliema Kiosk Robbed At Gunpoint As CCTV Footage Shows Thousands Of Euros Stolen From Safe

Thousands of euros have been stolen from a Sliema kiosk in a robbery that left one watchman bound, gagged, and unconscious outside of the establishment.
CCTV footage shows that at 4:30am this morning, at least two hooded men entered the Mason’s Coffee Shop in Tower Road, Sliema. At the time, an Indian watchman was cleaning the kiosk and preparing it for the next day when the men pointed what seemed like a firearm at him.
They then tied him up and gagged his mouth before stealing the money from a safe within the kiosk.
The exact amount of cash stolen hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it is estimated to be within the thousands. The watchman himself was discovered by other staff three hours later, at 7:30am. He was rushed to hospital with slight injuries and was discharged soon after.
Police are investigating.
