Sliema Man Hospitalised And Floriana Main Road Partially Closed After Pedestrian Run Over

A 40-year-old man from Sliema was hit by a Skoda Fabia car while walking in Triq L-Indipendenza, Floriana, leading to his hospitalisation.

The driver of the car, a 76-year-old man from Gudja, was not hospitalised after the incident, which occurred around 12pm earlier today.

The pedestrian was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, but his current condition is unknown, police told Lovin Malta. 

This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of pedestrian-vehicle accidents, and the importance of paying attention to one’s surroundings while walking or driving. It is also a reminder of the importance of following traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of all road users.
