An impromptu protest calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat will happen in Valletta outside of Castille at 7 pm tonight.

The demonstration comes after the resignation of Keith Schembri as Chief of Staff for the current Labour administration and after a week of multiple protests, including some of the most furious and emotional that Malta’s yet seen.

Repubblika, Occupy Justice and Manuel Delia are setting up tonight’s fourth protest.

Though they had planned a protest for tomorrow evening, they’ve since issued a statement saying that, in light of Schembri’s resignation, the time is now to stand together.

The protest is part of a series of nonstop demonstrations that have been held since the bombshell news broke last week that Yorgen Fenech may be involved in the planned assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

One of the protestors’ main demands was for the resignation of Keith Schembri – now that he is being interrogated, what else can we expect to see over the next few days?
