A part of a road in St Paul’s Bay collapsed this evening impacting a private residence.

The collapse occurred along Triq il-Fjuri, at around 6.30pm.

Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri announced on Facebook that the building that collapsed is private property and drones and dogs were being used to recover any bodies.

It has now been confirmed that the search dogs did not find any injured persons in the rubble. 

Police and members from the Civil Protection Department are on site.
