Still In Hospital, Jake Vella’s Mater Dei Dog Walk In Aid Of AAA Is Happening This Sunday
Malta’s young inspirational athlete Jake Vella is still recovering in hospital after he was admitted over a month ago.
But his dedication continues to shine through, with his latest initiative happening this Sunday – a dog walk around Mater Dei Hospital in aid of the Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA).
“Whoever doesn’t have a dog can still attend,” Jake encouraged his friends, fans, and followers on Facebook when announcing the walk.
All you have to do to attend is give a small donation of at least €5, but whoever can’t attend can still donate via a number of ways outlined in his post.
Just last month, Malta’s athletic community and beyond came together to wish Jake a speedy recovery, with a number of people visiting him in the hospital.
Days later, the young boy was gifted Pope Francis’ very own skullcap, as more and more well wishes continued pouring in.
Lydia Abela, wife of Prime Minister Robert Abela, also recently visited Jake in the hospital, where he appealed to the public to continue donating to animal sanctuaries.
