Happy Europe Day! Celebrating 74 Years Of Peace, Unity And European Cooperation
Europe Day, also known as the European Day, is celebrated on 9th May each year.
It commemorates the anniversary of the historical Schuman Declaration when French Minister Robert Schuman presented a document which carved out the foundations of the European Union in 1950.
This declaration proposed the establishment of a European Coal and Steel Community, which laid the foundation for what is now the European Union (EU).
Europe Day is an occasion to celebrate peace and unity in Europe and to raise awareness about the significance of European cooperation and integration.
