Stripped But Working, Daniel Grech’s Stolen Motorbike Has Been Found By Police (And A Doge) In Birkirkara
Popular Maltese restauranteur Daniel Grech has taken to social media to thank the public after his beloved stolen motorcycle was found in a field… by a dog.
Stripped of a number of its parts, such as some carbon parts and the spoiler, Grech’s decked-out Yamaha R6 has been found three weeks after it was reported stolen from Birkirkara.
“I have a major announcement to make,” Grech said yesterday. “I swear I’m so happy I nearly cried.
My beloved motorbike has been found.”
“Thank you so much to all of you who shared and helped to find it.
Most of all thank you to Alex Debono and the Birkirkara police station, especially PC 301 and all of the country’s police force.
You guys fucking rock.
It’s the happiest day of my life. Lets hope we will find who did this… Thank you dear Lord,” he said in a post on Facebook.
The motorbike was found by a really, really good dog
A Shiba Inu who was out for a walk in a field in Birkirkara with his owner apparently began sniffing at a large bush, and started pulling his owner towards the bush. When the human went to see what was up, they found Daniel Grech’s bike.
Speaking to Lovin Malta, Daniel Grech said this was the happiest day of his life
“Miskina my baby, it has a few scratches but the engine is working,” he said. “I just want to tell the public you guys rock – it’s thanks to each and everyone who shared, spoke about and helped with this.”
His bike is currently at the repair shop, being brought back into shape before hitting the road again.
As far as the thieves go, a forensic investigation of the field where the bike was found is underway and fingerprints found on the bike have been noted.
