Sword And Glass Fight In St Julian’s Sends Four Men To Hospital
Four men have landed themselves in hospital following a sword and glass fight in St Julian’s during the early hours of the morning.
At around 4:15am, police were notified of an argument between several people on Triq San Ġorġ in St Julian’s.
The District Police, assisted by the Rapid Intervention Unit police, went to the area where a preliminary investigation revealed that an argument had arisen between several men.
Allegedly, a sword and a glass object were used during the argument between the men.
A medical team was called to the scene to assist. A 36-year-old Libyan, a 24-year-old Iranian, a 28-year-old Englishman and another man, whose identity is still unknown, were taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.
The men suffered grievous injuries but are not in critical condition. Five other foreigners are assisting the police in the ongoing investigations.
Magistrate Elaine Mercieca was informed of the case and has appointed an inquiry.
