Nicole Sciberras has become the first Maltese person to score for Italian giants Juventus, hitting the goal home during an energetic match in the Primavera Championship.

In her match against Novese, the Maltese defender showed her skills in a winning match that ended 7 – 1 to Nicole’s team. She’s barely been playing with Juventus for weeks and already netted her first goal donning the black and white jersey.

She scored at the 21-minute mark with a strong right shot and been praised for scoring within her first month at the team. After the match, she said she hadn’t expected to score a goal in her second official match, and that she’ll remember the moment forever.

“I will continue to do my best to impress my coach and to realise my dream of joining the adult women’s team,” Nicole said to TVM after the game.

This was the second time Nicole appeared for Juventus, having played against Sassuolo the previous weekend. She’s now expected to play against Granata Citadella in her next match.

Nicole will be playing with Juventus Primavera for one year after signing a contract with the Italian team back in August.
