Year 11 students with learning difficulties were allegedly recently given an article by Environment Minister Miriam Dalli as a comprehension for their Maltese exam.

Lawyer and former PN MP Jason Azzopardi posted photos of the comprehension, which is an article by Dalli heralding the government’s waste management strategy.

It is followed by questions, such as whether the text is about work that yielded “good results” or “bad results”.

Students were also asked to “find a phrase from the text which shows that the economy generated a lot of wealth” and to explain in their own words why Dalli wrote the article.

“How aren’t you ashamed?” Azzopardi wrote. “This is Miriam Dalli’s propaganda. Students should have been asked why political responsibility wasn’t shouldered when Wasteserv killed a worker and lied about him.”

Lovin Malta reached out to Education Minister Clifton Grima, who said he is looking into the issue.
