The Price People Were Willing To Pay For An Azure Window Stone Was Insane
Remember five hours ago when we said that someone in Pisa was auctioning a small piece of the former Azure Window on eBay? Remember when we said that the auction seen a 700% increase from the original asking price of €1? Yeah – things escalated pretty fast after that.
The bid to beat reached €10,050.00 (free postage and packaging).
The post has since been removed.
While it was active bidders made a massive leap in their efforts to get a hold of a bit of what was once proposed to become the 8th wonder of the world. The auction still had six days to go, and the potential to become insane.
Meanwhile…
A new eBay bid has cropped up from a seller who says claims to be a local…
“Many are asking how can they be sure that the rock is from the mentioned area? Well all I can say is that I am a local and have access to location in less than 10 min drive. I plan to dive in the area and maybe even collect pieces from the sea bed.”
We’ll leave it up to you to decide whether to call bullshit or not.
