Michelle Muscat, the wife of Malta’s Prime Minister, just finished swimming 10km in six hours, from Qawra to Marsamxett Harbour.
The feat was done to raise money for Marigold Foundation, the charity project of Bank of Valletta.
This is the third year in a row that Muscat has completed a swimming feat. Originally she attempted 6km, then 8km. This year, she ventured to 10km, the length of approximately 100 football pitches.
The sum raised from the swim has not yet been announced.
Muscat is the chairperson of the charity, which according to its website “offers valuable support wherever it is needed”.
