‘The Show Is Just Getting Started’: Independent Luca Arrigo Meets Robert Abela

Luca Arrigo, a young entrepreneur who plans to contest the next election as an independent candidate, had a meeting with Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Arrigo wore a ‘Make Europe Great Again’ cap at the meeting at Castille, which he said was set up at the Prime Minister’s request.

“I wish to influence the national narrative to go from a defeatist mindset to a winners mindset,” he said afterwards.

“We deserve a different narrative than that which the media feeds us everyday. One where we can dream together and aim for the stars.”

“I believe this is important for our collective psychology to thrive, to retain our talent and to attract the brightest minds in the world.”

“We have a strong government with no productive opposition. My goal is not to oppose but to propose solutions and ideas for the betterment of our country.

“I am not a politician but a technocrat who is ready to continue working for the country.”

“As I’ve shown in the past; by proposing innovative legislation like that of the digital nomad residency we can make our small island nation into a beacon of Prosperity, Freedom and Innovation.”

“Today I was reminded how lucky we are to be Maltese, the seats of power are receptive to your opinion.”

“When you put Malta first, the doors are wide open. When you put Malta down, don’t expect to be given the key.”

“It’s kind of crazy to think that the prime minister of my country called me up himself and invited me for a meeting, whilst everyone else ignored me and referred to me as a ‘one man show’”

“Well ladies and gentlemen, take your seats, because the show is only just getting started. Proud to be Maltese. Make Malta Great Again.”

Arrigo’s manifesto includes ambitious proposals such as setting up Maltese-owned power stations in North Africa to ensure energy security and affordability, building a Malta metro, constructing artificial islands on Hurd’s Bank, taxing foreign-sourced income at a lower rate, incentivising Maltese entrepreneurs to purchase Sicilian farmland to protect national food security, and merging duplicate ministries.
