Balmy weather is something you’d expect from a month like September in Malta, but if this weekend’s forecast is any indication, it looks like the next couple of weeks are going to be a sweaty extension of summer.

Today kicked off with temperatures of 30°C, but in between the mild Force 2-3 winds and the still high UV index (sitting at 8), the highs during the day will feel more like 34°C. Yes, 34.

As September officially kicks off tomorrow, the high apparent temperatures will persist throughout the weekend. As sunny days are predicted across the board, the evenings’ lows will also remain rather warm, going up from 22°C tonight all the way up to 23°C.

Sometime over Saturday evening, the current northwesterly wind will be shifting to a southwesterly direction instead, beckoning in what is already shaping up to be an even warmer rest of the week. Buckle up people; the heat is here to stay.
