Thousands Gather For Roberta Metsola Event In Valletta’s Upper Barrakka
Thousands of people gathered in Valletta’s Upper Barrakka to get a glimpse of European President Roberta Metsola.
Back on the island and in front of a backdrop emblazoned with her name, Metsola spoke of the many hopes and dreams of the Maltese, what has been achieved – and what still needs to be done.
“We need to continue dreaming and working for a better future. For every Maltese man and woman, for every Gozitan man and woman, for every European man or woman. Thank you to the thousands who attended,” Metsola said.
“Thank you for your continuous support and enthusiasm.”
Fans, young and old, posted stories and snaps with her, with the phrases “such an inspiration” and “truly a role model” appearing throughout.
Recently, Metsola has been hard at work in relation to the ongoing Ukrainian invasion by Russian forces, leading the charge to end a reliance on Russian oil as well as push sanctions onto the aggressive nation.
