Three Arrested And One Kilo Of Cocaine Recovered Following A Late Night Drug Bust In Qormi

Three people have been arrested following a drug bust in which the Police recovered one kilogram of cocaine.

The bust happened last Thursday night when the Police Drug Squad, aided by the RIU, stopped a Toyota Vitz on Triq it-Tin, Qormi carrying three people between the ages of 20 and 28. The driver (a Libyan man) reversed into a police car before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing the scene. He was arrested shortly after.

The two passengers (a Maltese man and woman) were arrested on the spot.

A white block believed to be cocaine was discovered while searching the vehicle.

Fortunately, no one was hurt during this incident.
