Three Men Arrested After Libyan Man Stabbed In Bormla And Left For Dead

Three individuals have been arrested by the Police in connection with an alleged assault that took place in Bormla which left a 36-year-old man with serious, life-threatening stab wounds.
The arrests took place in the early hours of Sunday morning at around 8.15am when an injured 36-year-old Libyan resident from Msida staggered into the Bormla Police Station and reported that he had been attacked at a home on Madonna tal-Grazzja Street, Bormla.
He received medical assistance at the scene by a medical team and then taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified to be suffering from serious stab wounds.
From preliminary investigations, it emerged the man was at the residence where an argument had ensued, and he was allegedly assaulted by three men with a sharp weapon, who subsequently fled the scene.
Initial investigations led to the arrest of the alleged aggressors – two 33-year-old men and another 34-year-old man, all residents of Bormla. They are currently being held at the Floriana Police lock-up for further questioning.
The case was reported to Magistrate Elaine Rizzo LL.D., who has opened an inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
