Three People Hospitalised After Collision Between Two Cars In Santa Venera

Three people were hospitalised yesterday after a collision between two cars occurred in Santa Venera.

The incident took place at 8.15pm on Saturday in Triq il- Kbira San Ġużepp.

The police went to the scene and from initial investigations revealed a collision had occurred between a Smart Fortwo driven by a 64-year-old man from Msida and a Skoda Superb driven by a 20-year-old man, resident of Birkirkara.

Two men, one 57 years old from Ħamrun and another 54-year-old from Valletta, suffered some injuries when they were hit by one of the vehicles while they were on the sidewalk.

The 64-year-old driver and these two men were given medical assistance and taken to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance.

The driver was certified to have grievous injuries while the other two men suffered slight injuries.

Members from the Civil Protection Department were also on site to assist with the incident.

Police investigations are ongoing.
