A three-vehicle collision involving a Transport Malta official on a motorcycle occurred on Friday night in Birkirkara.

The collision on Triq Dun Karm involved a Toyota Yaris Cross car driven by a 52-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay, a Skoda Citigo driven by a 41-year-old man from  Sliema and a BMW motorcycle belonging to the Authority of Transport Malta.

The officer who was driving the motorcycle, a 44-year-old man, was assisted by a medical team.

An ambulance took them to the Mater Dei Hospital. It was later certified that it is suffering from light injuries.

Police are investigating.
