A crash between three vehicles in Żejtun has led to traffic congestion in the area and at least one person being hospitalised.

The crash, which occurred at around 12.45pm in Triq tal-Barrani, saw a frontal crash between the vehicles, a car and two vans.

One person has been seriously injured, TVM reported, with the injuries potentially life-threatening.

An emergency medical team from Mater Dei was called to assist the victims in the crash.

Traffic congestion formed throughout Żejtun and Tarxien as authorities attempted to redirect traffic as police investigations were underway.
