If you plan on voting in the General Election this Saturday, and please do plan on voting in the General Election this Saturday, your deadline to pick up your vote is tonight at midnight.

The Electoral Commission has explained that those wishing to collect their voting documents must do so in person and present their I.D. cards at the two designated locations.

The Maltese office is found at the former Trade Fair grounds in Naxxar, while those registered in Gozo need to pick it up from St Francis Square in Victoria.

As of the 29th of May, over 12,000 voting documents remained uncollected; 10,386 from Malta and 1,953 Gozitans. Among early-voters, who took to the polling booths last Saturday, there was a 91.7% voter turnout (that’s just over 4,100 voters).
