The family of Babel owner Tomek Piotrowski has begun a fundraiser to repatriate him to Poland for burial.

‘Tom’s Last Trip’ is looking to raise €7,000 to cover the costs of bringing him to Poland, where he was born.

“We know that many people would like to honour his memory by buying flowers however, please consider donating money instead. It will go a long way in helping with the costs of Tomek’s transfer from Malta to Poland,” his family wrote.

Tomek Piotrowski, who sadly passed away suddenly last week, was the beloved owner of Babel, Malta’s jazz mecca in Valletta.

His passing was met with a stream of condolences mourning the loss of such an iconic figure in Valletta.

If you would like to help the family in this difficult time, please consider donating here.

Anything you can spare will help.

Rest in Power, Tom
