The Labour Party holds a lead of 20,000 votes over the Nationalist Party, according to a recent political survey conducted by Torċa.

This indicates that Labour’s support has nearly halved when compared to the 2022 election, in which it won by approximately 39,000 votes.

The 20,000-vote difference signifies an approximate 8% gap between the two parties.

Another significant finding from the survey pertains to the level of support for the two party leaders, Robert Abela and Bernard Grech.

The survey reveals a substantial lead for the leader of the Labour Party, with 18.2% more confidence than the leader of the Nationalist Party.

With a margin of error of 3.1%, the survey suggests that Abela enjoys the confidence of 41.3% compared to Grech’s 23.1%.

The newspaper that published the survey notes that this data comes three years after the general election, and if an election were to be held tomorrow, the Labour Party would secure 51.5% of the votes, while the Nationalist Party would receive 43.1%.

In 2022, Labour secured 55.04% of the vote, while the Nationalist Party scored 42.12%.

The ADPD and other smaller parties are expected to gather around 5% of the vote.
