Tourism Minister Appeals To Public To Watch Valletta Fireworks On TV
Tourism Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli has appealed to the general public to watch the upcoming Fireworks Festival Final taking place in Valletta on TV.
Despite the current public health measures in place, it was recommended that the fireworks are not dismantled and relocated, due to the danger that might pose.
“Pyrotechnic experts advised us to go ahead with the setting off of the fireworks,” Farrugia Portelli said on a Facebook post.
The Tourism Minister also announced that the annual event which takes place next to the old fisheries in Valletta is cancelled.
“This was done so that we don’t have thousands of people and tourists gathering in one place,” the Minister concluded.
