A man died after he was run over while crossing the road in Triq Diċembru Tlettax, Marsa this afternoon.

Police said that the man, who has not yet been identified, was hit by a Mercedes Benz C250 that was being driven by a 66-year-old man from Fgura at around 2:10pm. 

The man was hospitalised but it was too late to save him.

TVM reported that the victim had just got off a bus when he was run over and that he was thrown onto the windscreen as a result. Photos show that the windscreen suffered extensive damage.
