Maltese superathlete Neil Agius will be the guest on the next episode of  Jon Mallia’s podcast – and you’re not going to want to miss it.

Mallia posted the trailer of his 20th podcast episode that features the olympian, and the full episode will be coming out tonight at 9pm.

“One of the few things that this nation can agree on is that Neil Agius is a legend of our time,” Mallia said in a short description of tonight’s highly anticipated episode.

“This is a brief look at my podcast with him, taken a few days after he broke the world record for the longest swim in the largest sea,” he continued.

Agius took on this challenge to raise awareness for a movement that’s very close to his heart; the Wave of Change. It advocates for environmental sustainability and has inspired several people to do their part in taking care of their surroundings.

In fact, following the success of the arduous swim, several people have come up with their own sport-related challenges to continue to gain traction for this extremely important cause.

8-year-old environment enthusiast Zac Bugeja took on his own 2.2km swim to “ride Neil’s wave of change and encourage people to make a difference in their lives”.

In the trailer, you can see a small excerpt of Agius speaking about the “dark energies” that he felt in the sea. He even thought that a shark was going to eat him.

“I saw God, basically,” he said.
