Türkiye’s Ambassador To Malta H.E. Erdeniz Şen Passes Away
The Ambassador of Türkiye to Malta, H.E. Erdeniz Şen, has passed away, prompting a wave of condolences from Maltese leaders and institutions.
The President of Malta expressed deep sadness at the news, describing Mr Şen as “a dedicated and devoted diplomat” who contributed significantly to strengthening relations between Malta and Türkiye during his term.
Condolences were extended to his family, the Turkish diplomatic service, and the Turkish community in Malta.

Foreign Affairs Minister Ian Borg shared his condolences on social media, saying, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of the Ambassador of Türkiye to Malta H.E. Erdeniz Şen. His dedication to diplomacy and service to his country will be remembered with respect.”
Speaker of the House Anġlu Farrugia also paid tribute, calling him “a true friend of Malta” and remembering his tireless efforts to promote cooperation between the two countries through parliamentary diplomacy.
Speaker Farrugia highlighted the close working relationship they developed and praised Şen’s role in fostering mutual understanding between Malta and Türkiye.
Ambassador Şen is remembered as a respected diplomat who played a key role in deepening bilateral ties and promoting dialogue.
