Two Albanian Workers Fall Three Storeys After Roof Collapse In Floriana

Two Albanian workers were taken to hospital after falling three storeys in Floriana.

Police were informed of the incident which took place in Triq Pietr0 Floriani at 8.30am.

Police informed Lovin Malta that from initial investigations there were two workers who were working in a construction site when they went on the neighbouring house’s roof and the tinder beams and stone slabs (xorok) of the roof gave way.

This resulted in the workers falling three storeys into a private residence which was not under construction.

The workers were taken to hospital where their condition is still unknown.

One of the workers was identified to be a 26-year-old resident in Ħaż-Żebbuġ while the other worker is yet to be identified.

Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry while police investigations are ongoing.
