Two Hospitalised After ‘Bad’ Accident In Marsa Main Road, Very Heavy Traffic In The Area
Two people have been hospitalised following a traffic accident in Marsa that is being described as “bad” by people on the scene.
The crash occurred at around 11am on December 13 Road in Marsa. The vehicles involved were a Toyota iQ and a Ford Transit.
The driver of the Toyota, a 63-year-old man from Santa Lucija, as well as his passenger, a 50-year-old from Isla, were rushed to hospital. The driver of the Ford Transit, a 46-year-old male from Msida, was not hospitalised.
Preliminary investigations on scene show the cars impacted in the middle of busy traffic; however, no further information was given by police.
“As previously reported, bad accident at Triq Diċembru 13 direction Marsa. Road is still open but very heavy traffic in the surrounding areas,” Facebook page Maltese Roads Traffic Updates said, sharing images of traffic piling up in the area.
