Two In Mater Dei Following Separate Traffic Accidents

Two people were taken to Mater Dei Hospital yesterday following separate traffic accidents.

The first accident involved an Italian, 61, who was hit by a car on Triq ix-Xatt, Gzira at 7 pm last night. The car, a Peugeot 508 was driven by a 33-year-old from Marsaskala.

The second occurred on Triq il-Lunzjata, Santa Venera, at 9pm. Investigations found that a motorcycle driven by a 37-year-old from Msida was involved in an accident with a Kia Avella, driven by a 68-year-old man also from Msida.

Ambulances were present in both scenes, where the Italian and motorcycle driver were taken to hospital for treatment of light injuries.

Investigations are underway.
