Two Maltese Motorcyclists Critically Injured In Sicily Collision
Two Maltese motorcyclists were critically injured in a collision with a car on a road that connects Modica and Ragusa, according to Sicilian reports.
The incident happened yesterday at around 5pm near a bend on the SS 115 state road when the two Maltese were involved in a “violent impact” involving a Fiat Panda driven by a 57-year-old Modica resident.
Reports state that the pair suffered serious, life-threatening injuries, otherwise known as code red injuries by Italian emergency services. They were rushed to the nearby Giovanni Paolo II hospital.
The Italian driver was also taken to hospital but is suffering from less concerning injuries.
Investigations into the incident are reportedly ongoing.
