Two Teens And One Man Taken To Mater Dei After Inhaling Toxic Gases From Faulty Generator In Żejtun

Two teens aged 16 and 17 years old, along with a 54-year-old man from Dingli were taken to hospital yesterday evening after inhaling gases from a faulty generator.

The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Monday evening, in a shop located in Misraħ il-Bjar, Żejtun.

After the power cut, the workers started using the generator to restore the electrical supply. Toxic gases started leaking from the generator.

Police and a medical team were called on site to assist, with the three affected being rushed to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.

Thankfully, the injuries were not serious, and they have been already released from Mater Dei Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
