UK Drag Racer Feeling ‘Amazing’ After Stolen Car Found Parked In Iklin
A British racer who had his car stolen from the Ħal Far Raceway a few days ago has happily found it thanks to some residents who alerted him to its location.
The car was found parked in Iklin by Mosta resident Lee Micallef, who recognised it from all the photos being shared on social media since it was stolen.
The owner and professional drag racer, Sean Prout, simply told Lovin Malta that this morning he feels “amazing” when asked for his reaction to his car having been found.
The highly customised car’s owner quickly took a photo of him smiling widely next to his priced possession.
“The Smurf has been found!” a friend of the owner announced on social media.
“What a night! I was woken by a call through FB at 4am this morning asking for Sean’s number as the car had been found, managed to get through to Sean with the help of Ahmed Jamshaid who was the only one active at 4am as he was looking for car parts and shortly after Sean was reunited with his car!” they said.
“We’ve had the best possible outcome too as the car is complete only with minor damage from it being taken and this is all thanks to everyone who kept sharing the posts making it too hot to handle.”
Prout had spent over €100,000 to upgrade his Honda Civic EP3 racer to its current state, with the car being used to participate in competitions.
As soon as it was stolen, he was offering as much as €5,000 as a reward to whoever managed to find it.
Well done to all those involved!
