Update: 27-Year-Old Maltese Man Identified As Victim In Rabat Shooting
A 27-year-old Maltese man from Rabat was identified as the victim of the shooting which took place earlier this afternoon.
Police were informed of the incident at Triq Fidloqqom at around 3.30pm and upon arriving at the scene they found the victim and an ambulance was called immediately.
Unfortunately, the man was certified dead at the scene.
Initial investigations revealed that an argument had occurred, during which a firearm was used. The victim was shot twice before the suspect fled the scene.
Police are speaking to witnesses from the area to gather information on the suspect and are currently searching for the aggressor.
Magistrate Charmaine Galea is investigating the case together with the police.
