A man who was injured in Selmun in an incident involving generator fuel has sustained grievous injuries.

The police released an update on the 51-year-old man’s condition as well as more details of the victim.

The victim is a resident of Żebbuġ, Gozo while the incident happened on a farm in Triq is-Selmun, Mellieħa.

The man suffered burns on the chest this morning due to an accident involving generator fuel.

The police were informed of the incident at around 10.15am. Soon after officials and a medical arrived on site, the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where his grievous injuries were certified.

Police investigations are currently ongoing.
