Valletta Residents Report Disturbing Sight Of A Pig’s Head In An Uncollected Pile Of Trash
A pig’s head was found lying on the open road among piles of uncollected rubbish bags, which is horrifying evidence of the escalating local waste problems. The upsetting photo, was taken on St. Ursula Street by a resident.
“It is not being collected,” the local said.
The wave of uncollected trash could be highlighting an underlying side effect of overpopulation, that seems to occur every summer during tourism season. The sight not only raises sanitary and health concerns but also compromises the local aesthetic.
The resident complained that the focus seems to be only on the main streets of Valletta such as Republic Street while other streets where residents reside are not taken care of.
“Valleta is very very dirty, we are seeing many rats too.”
