At least one person was injured following a collision earlier today in Regional Road involving two vehicles.

Police told Lovin Malta that a white vehicle overturned this morning following a collision with a police vehicle; the driver, a 27-year-old man from Fgura, was taken to Mater Dei for further medical examination, though it is believed he was not injured seriously.

At least one police officer, aged 36, was given medical treatment in a local health centre following the collision.

Following the accident, traffic in the area was diverted while officers examined the scene.
