Watch: ‘A Breath Of Fresh Air’ – PN Expected To Win Gozo
In what would be a stunning upset, the Nationalist Party is estimated to have won the majority of Gozitan votes at the European Parliament election.
“This is the first time the PN won Gozo in any election since PL was elected to government,” PN MP Alex Borg, who led the party’s Gozo campaign, told Lovin Malta.
“This is a breath of fresh air and shows that we’re making progress. I believe that Gozitans gave a clear response that they desire clean politics that truly serves them and not just for a clique.”
Borg said the PN managed to find more Gozitan local council candidates than PL and expects some positive results when local council votes get counted next week.
“I think we’ll have another surprise next week – a positive result in the local council election that will give the PN more strength, enthusiasm and energy.”
