Watch: Agitated Tuna Causes Chaos Frantically Swimming Into Għadira Beach
Beachgoers ran to safety after a large agitated tuna fish cause a scene in busy Għadira Bay on the first day of summer.
In footage sent to Lovin Malta, beachgoers can be seen panicking as fins quickly move through the shallow waters, with a trail of blood behind it.
During one moment, the tuna fish frantically moves towards a bouncy water park set up in the sea, leading to children running back the beach seeking safety.
“It was unreal,” one person who was on scene told Lovin Malta.

Initially, some people thought it was a dolphin, whereas others thought it may be a shark.
After the initial frantic scene, the tuna became beached among the shallow rocks near the beach.
While it is as yet unknown what happened to the tuna and where it came from, tuna fish farms are a common sight around Maltese waters – though no fish farm has yet to claim the tuna.
This is not the first time a tuna fish has appeared near Maltese shores, with some people trying to take home the huge fish – one of the most valuable out there.
